Rejected petition Agree to the construction of the proposed new community hospital in Rhyl as soon as possible.

Glan Clwyd Hospital has been overstretched for years. This is not a temporary problem caused by covid; covid has made the existing problem worse. This new hospital is needed to relieve the pressure on Glan Clwyd Hospital. Many patients would be better treated in a local community hospital rather than an acute hospital. "Bed blocking" by patients who do not need to be in an acute hospital is delaying admission of people who need those beds. Approval from Welsh Government is outstanding. A decision must be made imminently.
