The term ‘healing architecture’ was first coined in the 1980s, and is a specific discipline of the ‘healing environment’, which investigates the influence of the environment on patients’ healing and recovery process. Research shows that patients could be discharged earlier, and needed fewer painkillers post-surgery, if they were in rooms with a view of a park with trees. Later studies demonstrated that such factors are important not only for the well-being of patients and residents, but for employees as well.","state":"completed","signature_count":11392,"threshold_for_referral":50,"threshold_for_debate":5000,"created_at":"2020-08-25T19:07:35.779Z","updated_at":"2026-04-24T14:21:47.497Z","rejected_at":null,"opened_at":"2020-08-27T11:05:04.590Z","closed_at":"2020-09-08T22:59:59.999Z","completed_at":"2022-03-21T00:00:00.000Z","moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2020-08-25T19:22:07.000Z","referral_threshold_reached_at":"2020-08-27T11:40:17.000Z","referred_at":"2020-09-09T23:00:00.000Z","debate_threshold_reached_at":"2020-08-29T18:26:17.000Z","scheduled_debate_date":"2021-03-03","debate_outcome_at":"2021-03-08T12:28:51.467Z","archived_at":"2026-04-24T14:21:47.453Z","submitted_on_paper":false,"submitted_on":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":null,"debate":{"debated_on":"2021-03-03","transcript_url":"https://record.assembly.wales/Plenary/11182#A64979","video_url":"http://www.senedd.tv/Meeting/Archive/2ceb05c2-b875-4617-b5e3-13df4f8c4ea4?startPos=12078&autostart=True","debate_pack_url":"https://business.senedd.wales/mgIssueHistoryHome.aspx?IId=29443","overview":"The petition was debated by the Senedd in Plenary on 3 March 2021"},"topics":[{"code":"health","name":"Health and Care Services"},{"code":"planning","name":"Planning"}]}},{"type":"petition","id":200160,"links":{"self":"https://petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/200160.json"},"attributes":{"action":"Implement a holiday to land transaction tax In line with announcement made today by the Chancellor","background":"Rishi Sunak has announced a stamp duty holiday in England and Northern Ireland on properties up to £500,000 to get the housing market moving again.\r\n\r\nPlease implement the same holiday to the land transaction tax here in Wales to help people get on to the property ladder or to give them some help in moving house.\r\nWe need a level playing field for all house buyers/movers","additional_details":"","state":"rejected","signature_count":9,"threshold_for_referral":250,"threshold_for_debate":5000,"created_at":"2020-07-08T18:32:53.976Z","updated_at":"2021-05-11T09:00:48.255Z","rejected_at":"2020-07-09T13:28:25.149Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":"2020-09-08T22:59:59.999Z","completed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2020-07-08T18:57:17.000Z","referral_threshold_reached_at":null,"referred_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"archived_at":"2021-05-11T09:00:47.011Z","submitted_on_paper":false,"submitted_on":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":"Another petition about Land Transaction Tax is already collecting signatures: https://petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/200158\r\n\r\nYou are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.\r\n"},"debate":null,"topics":[]}},{"type":"petition","id":200211,"links":{"self":"https://petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/200211.json"},"attributes":{"action":"Give Dental practices and their staff the “key worker” status","background":"During the initial Covid-19 outbreak dental practices were staggered to be classed as “non essential medical” despite our roles saving lives through urgent infection care and early oral cancer detection. Was everyone wearing a facemask/covering when we went inside? No! However, after speaking to numerous people, I have discovered that sometimes there has been someone at the main door checking people had face masks/coverings and if not, they provided them with one, but on other days there was no such things. This needs to change. It needs to be made compulsory - everyone working or visiting in any Welsh hospital HAS to wear a facemask/covering. It's not a big ask, but it is me (and I'm sure many others will agree) asking that we help protect ourselves and others, especially when we know that Covid-19 cases are on the rise within hopsitals.","state":"rejected","signature_count":20,"threshold_for_referral":50,"threshold_for_debate":5000,"created_at":"2020-08-03T23:52:12.773Z","updated_at":"2021-05-11T09:13:44.888Z","rejected_at":"2020-09-06T23:00:00.000Z","opened_at":"2020-08-05T09:54:48.053Z","closed_at":"2020-09-05T22:59:59.999Z","completed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2020-08-04T11:36:57.000Z","referral_threshold_reached_at":null,"referred_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"archived_at":"2021-05-11T09:13:43.810Z","submitted_on_paper":false,"submitted_on":null,"creator_name":null,"rejection":{"code":"insufficient","details":null},"debate":null,"topics":[{"code":"covid-19","name":"COVID-19"},{"code":"health","name":"Health and Care Services"}]}},{"type":"petition","id":200152,"links":{"self":"https://petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/200152.json"},"attributes":{"action":"Wearing of face masks/coverings to be mandatory in shops.","background":"I currently work in retail and despite a very comprehensive effort from my employer the safety measures in place are not enough if a customer decides to ignore the rules.
