Moreover, tents are known to be flammable and many use LPG gas for cooking or other appliances in caravans.","additional_details":"This is something that should be regulated as there is a big push in Wales to lower air pollution from motor vehicle emissions and wood burners in residential homes yet burning fires is almost encouraged when camping.\r\nMy partner, who suffers from asthma, couldn't stay outside due to the smoke blowing from other campsite members who would start the fire and then go into their tent or caravan leaving the fire unattended due to too much smoke.\r\nI do not wish to ban all firepits or campfires as many people associate this with the camping experience, yet a limit should be put in place to allow others who do not wish to be submerged in the smog and enjoy the fresh air and limit the amount of air pollution due to unmanaged firepit/campfire regulation.\r\nMaybe suggest a campsite run campfire/firepit where the fuels can be selected and length of burning time can be managed to reduce smoke release.\r\nThis would be a great addition to the Environment (Air Quality and Soundscapes) (Wales) Act 2024.","state":"open","signature_count":5,"threshold_for_referral":250,"threshold_for_debate":10000,"created_at":"2026-06-14T21:16:50.562Z","updated_at":"2026-06-16T17:11:20.000Z","rejected_at":null,"opened_at":"2026-06-16T15:00:06.140Z","closed_at":"2026-12-16T23:59:59.999Z","completed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2026-06-14T21:46:00.000Z","referral_threshold_reached_at":null,"referred_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"archived_at":null,"submitted_on_paper":false,"submitted_on":null,"creator_name":"Holly Willmott","rejection":null,"debate":null,"topics":[{"code":"environment","name":"Environment"}],"signatures_by_country":[{"name":"Wales","code":"GB-WLS","signature_count":5}],"signatures_by_constituency":[{"id":"W09000050","name":"Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni","signature_count":4},{"id":"W09000051","name":"Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd","signature_count":1}],"signatures_by_region":[]}}}
