However, social landlords often require that gardens and grass specifically must be kept “neat and tidy”. Some councils are threatening tenancies because of wildflower meadow areas in residents' gardens. \r\nWe call on the Welsh Government to issue guidance to social landlords to ensure tenants are allowed to garden for nature. \r\nWales is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world.
