About the petition map

Please note that individual constituency, electoral region and country signature count totals will be less than the total signature count recorded for the petition for the following reasons:

• Petition was signed using a postcode that has not yet been published;
• Petition was signed from outside of Wales;
• Additional paper signatures were added to the petition.

The calculation of signature distribution and display of the map boundaries utilises the following data sources:

• Boundary line data sourced from Ordnance Survey and the ONS Open Geography Portal.
• Postcode data sourced from the ONS Postcode Directory (ONSPD).
• The estimated (mid-2021) population data is sourced from the Welsh Government and the ONS.
