Lucy's Law was introduced several years ago after a dog (Lucy) from a puppy farm had suffered a horrific life. Lucy's Law will ban puppy farms. This law has been discussed by ministers for the environment and rural affairs for years, but it keeps getting pushed to the back burner. It's time to stop further delays and get on with passing Lucys Law so existing puppy farms in Wales will be shut down, and no new puppy farms will be allowed to operate.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
