Rejected petition Open dentists to general check ups and repairs.

Why is it that pubs are open during covid 19, but dentists are not open for check ups and repairs. All we are going to do, is end up having a load of people with major issues with there mouths. Ranging from infections to gum disease or even worse cancer. We are encouraged all year to keep an eye on our teeth and gums, yet its perfectly fine for us to destroy our teeth now, with junk food, alcohol and stress.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.

Another petition calling for the re-opening of full general dental services is currently under consideration by the Petitions Committee.
