Completed petition Save Kennard Court Sheltered Accommodation for Older People

We call for the Welsh Assembly Government to oppose the closure of Kennard Court Sheltered Accommodation for older people. They have been forced to leave the building and find a new place to live with a bogus reason of asbestos. The residents of the Accommodation have had no backing for them, and they’re starting to give up. We need to support and help them to remain in their home.Some have already been moved,and if they don’t move they have been threatened to be evicted. Bron Afon are targeting older vulnerable people ageing from 70 and above. It’s not fair, we need to put a stop to it. To think at their time in life they have to suffer the stress and worries of being rehoused.Please sign this petition.

Most of these residents have been living in Blaenafon for all of their lives as well as their past ancestors. They have contributed to Blaenafon and its community.THEY NEED OUR SUPPORT.
