Rejected petition Stop local authorities from wasting money on speed humps
Catch speeders instead of actually punishing all drivers. Speed humps to the law abiding citizen are a total inconvenience, they damage vehicles, cause noise pollution, cause air pollution through drivers slowing down & then accelerating, cause accidents & many near misses through drivers avoiding certain sections of the hump & are totally useless as the 'type' of driver they are put there for just fly over them at the same speed as if they weren't there so therefore a total waste of money.

I live on a section of road where in a mile there are 15-20 so I can verify the points above. instead of these wasteful items perhaps other ways of catching the offenders such as mobile camera units in the desired areas to punish the offenders not the rest of the driving population.
