Rejected petition Allow outdoor recreational sport (non-team based) to occur across county boundaries

The health minister is on record as identifying that covid19 does not transmit in outdoor settings. Preventing recreational non-team sport has adverse impacts on wider health and wellbeing. Cardiff has a population density of 2000 per km. The Taff trail and other locations are now honey pots due to inability for people to disperse across county boundaries to other outdoor locations. This can occur provided people do not enter homes, buildings or mix with other households.

No evidence has been presented by WG of transmission of covid19 from outdoor sports (non-team based) from epidemiology or track and trace studies to demonstrate need for the present county boundary restrictions.
