Rejected petition Welsh Government Ministers to refuse to take a salary during firebreak lockdown.

We do not believe that the Welsh Government sufficiently understands the hardships of ordinary working people during the coronavirus crisis. Therefore we suggest that, during the period of this and any subsequent lockdowns, they should refuse to take a salary and instead donate the money to a charity helping the vulnerable.

Why was this petition rejected?

It asks the Senedd to do something that it is not able to do.

What Ministers do with the salaries they receive is a matter for those individuals and not something that it is possible for the Senedd to determine.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that is the responsibility of the Senedd or the Welsh Government, you could start a petition about that.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
