Rejected petition Change the rules to allow stationery and books to be sold in essential shops now

The Welsh government has banned the sale of non-essential goods from shops that are open selling essential items during a 17 day fire break period. This includes stationery and other products that are used by students all over Wales. We call for their immediate return to sale and ask the Welsh Government to consider this in light of its decision that education has been deemed safe to continue for thousands of students and pupils across the country and many working from home need stationary.

It also includes books which are useful to a whole range of people for occupying minds, mental wellbeing and developing reading skills. We believe that stationery products and books are essential and demand that they are returned for sale in supermarkets and shops allowed to open.

Please sign the petition below and show your support to the students, school children and home workers of Wales now.
