Rejected petition Teach the Welsh metrical tradition in schools to creatively engage students with Welsh history.
This petition could contribute to a debate recorded on the 4th of November that concerned teaching Black history in schools. I would like the craft of the Welsh metrical tradition to be taught in English language schools. This craft has developed alongside the Welsh language and multinational histories of Wales. It could be used to introduce multinational and Welsh history to students while providing them with a means to think critically of Welsh history and respond through creative expression.
