Rejected petition Hold a vote of no confidence in Mark Drakeford's leadership
for the sake of small businesses, pubs and restaurants. He has demonstrated that his leadership is guided not by science but by his own personal value-set and as such is unfit to lead our country
More details
He has provided no scientific evidence for today's announced control measures, focussed on the hospitality sector, but ignores the uncontrolled mixing in supermarkets and huge crowds in city centres such as Cardiff.
Pubs and restaurants are already operating within a rigid set of rules, that the vast majority are observing. Instead of focussing on the real risk areas (including clamping down on venues ignoring the rules) he is sounding a death-knell for the hospitality trade, most especially small and rural pubs.
Mr Drakeford, as a teetotaller would do well to spread the good work that the pub trade has put in place to control COVID, and not brand pubs as the problem.
This latest blinkered ruling from Mr Drakeford clearly demonstrates his in ability to be led by science and his desire to use his position destroy people's livelyhoods because they do not align with his own personal value-set
