Rejected petition Make alert level 4 restrictions time-limited in the same way as the previous firebreak restrictions

The ‘firebreak’ restrictions in November were largely supported due to the time-limited element of the rules. The new alert level 4 does not have a time limit. This will inevitably cause anxiety amongst people, and uncertainty for business in Wales. The idea of allowing the whole of Wales to be kept within these restrictions indefinitely is not acceptable. A time limit must be introduced so if restrictions need to be extended, it must then come back to the Senedd to protect people’s liberties.
