Rejected petition Review and amend the COVID restrictions that have been imposed simultaneously on all areas of Wales.
We are calling for the Welsh government to review and amend the restrictions that have been imposed simultaneously on all areas of Wales; despite what the current levels may be and without consideration for those areas not experiencing elevated Covid-19 cases.
More details
The restrictions are driving businesses to ruin, unemployment is rising and the mental health of the nation is suffering.
Current data shows that the vast majority of Covid-19 cases (by both by number and by cases per population) are in a small area in the south of Wales. We are petitioning the Welsh government to implement a fairer process of restrictions; one which is fluid and can be adapted depending on the progression or regression of case numbers. A tiered system would be preferable, rather than blanket restrictions on the entirety of the country.
