Rejected petition Reclassify bouldering and climbing gyms as 'gyms' NOT 'soft play areas' under Covid-19 restrictions.
A bouldering / climbing gym is a health and fitness facility designed to provide people with strength training and improve balance and coordination skills. It is NOT a play area. Climbing is an Olympic sport, and bouldering and climbing gyms are most definitely gyms, despite using other specialised equipment to increase strength and balance than 'weights'. The Welsh Government has no right to redefine the word 'gym' in order to exclude these venues.
