Rejected petition Keep golf courses in Wales open under Level 4

Golf courses in Tier 4 areas in England have remained open. Sporting activity is vital to keep people physically and mentally healthy and golf is played outdoors and socially distanced by definition. The risk of transmission between players is negligible but the benefits are huge.

More details

There is no evidence whatsoever that playing golf outdoors on wide open fairways poses any risk of viral transmission. What it does do is provide healthy outdoor exercise for thousands of people in Wales who would otherwise be confined to their houses.
