Rejected petition Re-start the academic year for all welsh primary and secondary school pupils

The amount of schooling lost due to enforced school closures in March 2020, subsequent lockdowns & self isolation periods children have missed months & months of face to face teaching.
Online learning work has not catered to the individual child’s level & ability, the children are missing out on social contact with their peers & extra curriculum activities. All of the above could harm a child’s mental health.

More details

I am asking for a debate about re-starting the school year for example in Sept 2021 or to incorporate changes to school holidays to make up for lost learning and social skills.
