Rejected petition Prioritize Police Officers for the COVID vaccine

Police Officers must be prioritized for the COVID vaccine as they risk their safety every day to enforce the lockdown rules.
Front-line NHS and care workers are already among those already being prioritized and i believe that the Police should be next in line.
The force has about 3,000 officers and more than 230 are currently off work with Covid-19 or having to self-isolate. Having that many officers off work will only up the crime rate if the Police are not prioritized for the vaccine.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
