Rejected petition Allow Year 12 students to have the option to let their AS grades contribute to their final A Levels.

As a result of COVID-19 disruption, students who are in Year 12 have not had any examinations since Autumn 2019.

The choice to change the grading process to centre assessed grades was a large and positive choice - however, with 100% of our A-Level grades relying on one year, the stress and pressure would be detrimental to students across Wales.

Balancing the weight of the two years after the impact of such unforeseen circumstances is only fair to ensure access to higher education in 2022.
