Rejected petition Ban the hand-delivery of political leaflets during lockdown

We call on the Welsh Government to ensure voters are safe from any political hand delivery of leaflets in the run up to the next Senedd election during lockdown.

Delivering leaflets is unsafe and may encourage the spread of covid 19 with many political candidates travelling hundreds of miles with a team to visit thousands of households.

This would be one less concern for worried voters having unsolicited visits.

With technology and social media leafleting is outdated.

Why was this petition rejected?

It did not collect enough signatures to be referred to the Petitions Committee.

Petitions need to receive at least 250 signatures before they can be considered in the Senedd.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
