Rejected petition Investigate new moves from Academies affecting Grass Roots Football.

Academies or FAW have made a ruling that next Season, kids will have to decide to play for either an Academy or a Grass-Roots Team not for Both. . Its basically a Land Grab by the Academies and will lead to a decline of Grass Roots Teams, the seedbed of youth football.

This is being brought in ostensibly so that kids are not playing too much football. The only exception is where an Academy has a Grass Roots side and then kids can play for both. This makes a mockery that the reason is to rest kids and leaves the majority of Grass Roots teams without Academies very vulnerable Academy have said they are going to implement this 'now' and not waiting till next season.
