Rejected petition Give the NHS bonus to agency workers that have worked in hospitals and other health care settings
From the beginning of the pandemic myself and many agency workers in the hospitals and other health care settings have worked just as hard as the people that were contracted. Whether it was cleaning or taking care of people, we worked just as hard to make sure that the hospitals were clean and that services were being provided throughout the pandemic when covid cases were at the highest. But because we’re employed by an agency and not directly contracted by the NHS we’re being discriminated against.
