More details

Wales as the highest number of children in care this needs investigating as many professionals are fabricating concerns in order to bully parents . Social workers are miss using section 47 In order to cause parents anxiety and distress it usually starts with a parent having to raise concerns regarding school issues or maybe having to complain to a health board from there a professional can fabricate concerns in order to get safeguarding involved. Parents of disabled children are more at risk of bullying. Parents are told to Make complaints with LA & health boards but this leads to worse treatment for families the welsh government’s complaints policy’s need to change to protect parents surrounding safeguarding and child protection .. many children are ripped from families based on fabricated evidence and many children could stay with families if given the correct support ..

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the Senedd or Welsh Government to do. Petitions need to call on the Senedd or Government to take a specific action.

We understand that you feel complaints policies need to change but we’re not sure how. You could try starting a new petition which includes clear actions that you would like the Senedd or Welsh Government to take. Or it may be more effective to raise the specific concerns that you have in another way.
For example, if you are dissatisfied with a local authority’s complaints procedure you may wish to contact the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales who has powers to look into complaints about public services. www.ombudsman.wales/how-to-complain/
There are already processes in place to address concerns about social workers’ professional practice. In order to practice as a social worker they must be registered with Social Care Wales and must follow the Code of Professional Practice. Concerns that a registered worker has breached the Code of Professional Practice can be raised with Social Care Wales. www.socialcare.wales/dealing-with-concerns/codes-of-practice-and-guidance#section-29494-anchor
However, if the concern is about the standard of care provided by a company or organisation you should contact Care Inspectorate Wales for information. They are the body that regulate social care services. www.careinspectorate.wales/contact-us/raise-concern
Other organisations which can provide support for children, children with disabilities and their families include:
- Advocacy services www.whatisadvocacy.cymru
- SNAP Cymru www.snapcymru.org/
- Contact a Family Cymru www.contact.org.uk/cymru/

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
