Rejected petition Stop Cardiff Council's landgrab of the Maindy Velodrome and ensure it stays a public open space.

After the pandemic we need good public recreation and leisure facilities. The Maindy Velodrome site is not only a historic site in our national sporting history it is the only sporting facility for the local community and an essential green space in an already densely developed residential area. Plans to expand Cathay's High School contravene the Bute Covenant governing the land's usage and it is not supported by the local community. The financing of the project is also a major concern.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.
