Rejected petition Place speed camera and limit speed to 50mph on A469 by Llanbradach. The road is very loud until late

We live in Llanbradach and especially during the summer months the excessive noise from the road disrupts our sleep.
We cannot have window open at night on warmer nights, because all we can hear is people racing on motorbikes and in cars as it’s a long straight stretch of a road. The sound of loud engines is with us the entire day and most of the night.

We think that limiting the speed to 50mph and placing a speed camera would help and make the road safer and the area less polluted.

More details

As the road is located between two hills in the valley, the noise is amplified. The location also makes pollution stay in the valley and speeding is known for causing more air pollution than slower driving. We believe that if we limit a speed on this road, all people who live in Llanbradach would feel healthier, more relaxed and happier.
