Rejected petition Stop welsh bacc from being mandatory in schools and colleges.
As an A level student I would prefer to focus on the subjects I have chosen and enjoy. Welsh bacc has added unnecessary stress and made my time management and organisation more difficult. I feel that this might affect my grades in my chosen subjects, due to the amount of resources I must use in order to complete welsh bacc.I feel that the options that I have selected to study at A level would improve if the government was to make welsh bacc optional and not mandatory.
More details
I’m a politics student who represents young individuals in my college. We have discussed this issue and we have universally agreed that this subject has made life much harder in college.
With consideration of our future we believe that we could make better use of our time if we were to take A levels that will benefit us directly.
