Given how many animals are being rescued we feel that there is a need to bring strict regulations around animal rescue centres
They should be licensed and checked on a regular basis and follow strict rules and regulations for the safety of all animals

Rescue centres are becoming more and more prominent today than ever.
We feel that most rescue centres do amazing work, but some have set up and the animals in their care haven’t had the care and attention they need

We feel regulation and checks are long overdue in this sector

The Welsh Government have already announced their intention to introduce a licensing requirement in relation to animal exhibits and animal establishments (including sanctuaries and rescue/ rehoming centres) in their Wales Animal Welfare Plan published in November 2020.
