Rejected petition Start a Welsh National cricket team. Cruced Cymru, perhaps.

I currently don't feel that the ECB represents Wales at all. They include the occasional Welsh player but the team is always called England with few, if any, references to Wales. Scotland have their own team and we should too.

I have been involved with forming a local cricket club in the past.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.

Establishing a Welsh Cricket board and seeking membership of the International Cricket Council is a matter for Cricket Wales and the England and Wales Cricket Board. Neither the Welsh Government nor the Senedd has any direct responsibility over this.

As a result, it is not possible for the Senedd to take the action called for by your petition.
