Rejected petition Reject the proposed use of Closed Party Lists in future Senedd elections
Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru have put forward changes to the voting system in Wales in the form of Closed Party Lists. While more proportional than the existing voting method, voters will no longer be able to endorse or reject individual candidates. This restricts voter choice and gifts parties a blank cheque on candidates they put forward.
