Rejected petition Issue guidance to all schools ensuring children can choose to wear knee-length shorts in the summer

Many schools, especially secondary schools, prohibit the use of shorts, which leads to student discomfort and lack of progress in lessons.

Our proposal of allowing smart, knee-length shorts would reduce the discomfort faced by students in the summer months, without the privacy issues typically quoted by schools.

Why was this petition rejected?

It did not collect enough signatures to be referred to the Petitions Committee.
