Rejected petition Stop 20 Mph speed limit enforcement idea in all of Wales.

If they enforce a 20MPH limit in rural areas etc in all of Wales to get people off the roads, its a cruel joke. Not all people can use public transport or cycle its unfair and impractical. Think again.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.

A very similar petition was considered by the Committee earlier this year. However, I have just published a different petition - "Hold a public poll on the reduction of the default speed limit BEFORE it comes in to force" - which might be of interest.
