Rejected petition Ensure a quick rollout of Monkeypox vaccines in Wales
Monkeypox is spreading across the world, in the United Kingdom and in Wales.
The rollout of public health information and a vaccination programme has been particularly slow in Wales, with many people contracting the virus and not knowing how or where to access treatment.
Further, vaccinations for Monkeypox are not yet readily available in Wales following a decision by Welsh Government to halt the vaccination programme in Wales in favour of them going to London.
More details
This petition calls for an increase in the public health information available around Monkeypox, diagnostics, vaccination and treatment as a matter of urgency in Wales.
We know that the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and plus (LGBT+) community is disproportionately impacted by this virus and call on the Welsh Government to use all its knowledge and resources for pandemic planning to protect Wales against Monkeypox.
