Rejected petition Remove Land Transaction Tax for first time buyers in Wales for properties under £425k

The UK Government have announced plans on 23rd September to remove stamp duty for first time buyers who purchase properties under £425,000 in England and Northern Ireland.

The Welsh Government needs to follow suit. Purchasing a home in Wales is increasingly more difficult for first time buyers, and not removing this tax will lead to more people moving over the bridge or left stuck renting in Wales, unable to get onto the housing market.
