Rejected petition Allow Interfaith Ministers in England and Wales to undertake the legal aspects of a marriage.

I have just been Ordained as an Interfaith Minister. As it stands currently, Interfaith Ministers in England and Wales cannot complete the legal aspects of a marriage, while in Scotland and Ireland they can.
I would like the Government to allow all ordained Interfaith Ministers to undertake the legal aspects of a marriage.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the Senedd or Welsh Government is not responsible for.

Paragraph 176 of Schedule 7A to GoWA 2006 reserves marriage and civil partnership. It should be possible to petition the UK Parliament. https://petition.parliament.uk/

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards
