Rejected petition Adopt a single transferable vote system for Senedd seats
Senedd reforms recently announced laid out the plan to increase the number of Senedd seats to 96.
These seats would be elected through a closed list system where we would vote for parties instead of people.
A closed list system makes it so that the electorate don't know who the candidates are and makes it almost impossible for independent candidates to win.
A single transferable vote system would make candidates public and make it easier for independent candidates.
