Rejected petition Cancel the proposal to increase the Sennedd to 96 AMs.

Currently 1 AM represents 52266 Welsh people whereas in UK 1 of the 650 MPs represents 103584 people. Why increase the number of Welsh AMs, are they less competent?

Increasing the number of AMs to 96 results in having 1 AM for 32666 Welsh people, 1/3 of the number of people represented by 1 UK MP. This is a ridiculous waste of the Welsh budget.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
