Rejected petition Make a law banning parking on Pavements!

Since moving to Blackwood, Caerphilly, I have noticed how lots of people will park on pavements and block pavements. It is super inconsiderate and causes an obstruction for parents with buggies, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and parents walking disabled children. Paths are the width they are for a reason, and blocking them causes problems for people who can't "walk around" and pedestrians should not have to use the road because a car has blocked the path!

More details

I use a mobility scooter and I walk my children to and from school most days, but I cannot do this independently because I am often blocked by cars parked either "mostly" on the pavement or FULLY on the pavement. Then I have to reverse until I can find a dropped curb. It is not easy, especially on the smaller paths. I cannot just step down and walk around. I would give anything to do that again! Please can we all protect the pavements and create a law that states "No vehicles, unless an emergency vehicle, can park across pavements"! After all, the Government has asked us to start walking more, using cars less, so lets provide the space to do this! So please all sign and get our pavements back for pedestrians, buggies, wheelchairs and mobility scooters! Thanks for reading :)
