Rejected petition Stop building cycle paths and restore the roads
Combined pedestrian/cycle paths are being built around the country that are not used by cyclists.
Combined paths don't work because there is too much risk of collision with pedestrians and there are frequent drop kerbs with textured ground. This does not make for convenient cycling.
More details
Instead of wasting taxpayer money on giant footpaths, why don't you repair and expand existing roads that are in atrocious condition?
This would benefit both cyclists and motorists, whilst also being cheaper.
