Rejected petition Restart the Stagecoach old {139} 121 service to return to the side streets of Cwmparc.
This is just one example of the impact of the cancellation of the 121 bus service travelling the side streets of Cwmparc.
An elderly gentleman {85 yrs. old} who has to use crutches normally catches a bus to get a haircut in Treorchy, which costs £9, when they cancelled the bus service travelling the side streets of Cwmparc, he had to book a taxi which was £12 to get his haircut which now costs him. £21.
More details
The 139 bus service has been merged with the 121 service which still travels to Cwmparc on the way to Tonypandy and Blaenrhondda, but only up & down the main road not through the side streets of Cwmparc. Most elderly residents are unable to go up & down the hills to the main road to catch the bus from the side streets. Before the merger the service did go up the main road and down through the side streets, and that is all the residents of Cwmparc want.
