Rejected petition Stop mandatory Welsh lessons in English-speaking Welsh schools

Welsh lessons should no longer be mandatory in English-speaking Welsh schools. However there should still be the option to take Welsh for GCSE's.
The time spent on learning Welsh would be better used focusing on other lessons. Welsh is becoming increasingly irrelevant in Wales.
Less than one fifth of Wales' population speak Welsh. Even less than that speak it as their only language.
