Rejected petition Rescind the 20mph limit on Bedwas House Industrial Estate

Since the new 20mph limit on Bedwas House Industrial Estate, congestion has increased a significant amount. The area is not residential and many use it on their work commute. It is approximately four cars wide, and there is no reason for it to be a 20mph. The public transportation is not adequate for bringing in changes like this. I also ride push bikes and it is now more dangerous to cycle as you can ride faster than the cars, rather than just being overtaken safely

Since the new 20mph limit on Bedwas House Industrial Estate, congestion has increased a significant amount. The area is not residential and many use it on their work commute. It is approximately four cars wide, and there is no reason for it to be a 20mph. I’m sure it has also affected the local businesses, with vans and lorries struggling to turn in with the increased congestion. We live a 40 minute walk from the nearest train station, so public transport is not adequate for reducing the speeds like this. I also ride push bikes, and it is now more dangerous to cycle as you can ride faster than the cars, rather than just being overtaken safely
