Rejected petition Senedd Reform Bill to be delayed until a recall system for AM/MS is incorporated into the Bill.

There is currently no procedure to recall poorly performing Senedd Members despite a previous petition which was discussed by the Petitions Committee on 25/4/22 and "forwarded the petition to the Special Purpose Committee on Senedd Reform" nothing has been put in place to bring Wales in line with England and Scotland.

The recent debacle of the 20 MPH Default Speed Limit is a perfect example of Assembly Members not representing the interests of their constituents which should be a valid reason for recall.

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue, or if the Petitions Committee has considered one in the last year.
