Rejected petition To rethink single use plastic bottles in Cardiff primary schools.

In the 12 months up to June 2023, 23,858 single use water bottles were used in Cardiff schools as part of Cardiff Council school dinners. Schools cannot opt out of receiving these bottled drinks. The current drinks contract is due to end in November 2023. Bottled drinks will be included in the new contract and this contract will last for 4 years + 1 year. We are asking Cardiff Council to rethink this decision in order to reduce the amount of single use plastic in our schools.
