Rejected petition Stop dentists refusing to see and treat vulnerable people

It can be difficult for vulnerable people to attend a dental appointment due to ill health, stress, caring responsibility, transport issues etc, but dentists often refuse to see people who have missed a few appointments. This does not consider their personal circumstances and makes them more vulnerable to poor dental health.

If a dentist removes an individual from their patient’s list, it is extremely difficult to find another NHS dentist. There should be some checks and consideration for vulnerable people who may lose access to important health care. Vulnerable people should be protected.
