Rejected petition introduction of legislation that is against the good interests of Wales, it’s economy and people.

Blanket 20mph introduced by misinformation to the people of Wales, under the guise of benefits which cannot be qualified or assessed and issuing selective information which has proved to be incorrect. Also under the new election reform bill, removing Welsh people’s entitlement to vote for individual candidates, known to them and thereby making them a known point of contact for any complaints, for which they will be responsible for investigating.

More details

20 mph is straightforward, the vast majority of Welsh people, even after two months, think it is a poor piece of legislation, poorly researched (if it was at all) and amateurish in its implementation. Most agree on where 20mph limits are required and this blanket implementation smacks of lazy incompetence or a downright liaises-faire attitude, which is basically incompetence in a minister in government.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the Senedd or Welsh Government to do. Petitions need to call on the Senedd or Government to take a specific action.
