Rejected petition Intervene to protect education in Conwy.
School staff have been told to prepare for staff reductions in Conwy County Borough. This is due to a cut in funding of 10% and this means that schools are unable to afford to pay their teachers and other staff.

A loss of teachers and teaching assistants will result in much larger class sizes - which will mean pupils will not be able to receive the one-on-one support that many of them need and will inevitably lead to more pupil anxiety and poor well-being. It could also mean that schools have to cut subjects, thus depriving our young people of their future life chances and opportunities. If you care about the education of our young people in Conwy, please sign this petition and tell the Welsh Government that they need to intervene urgently to protect teachers' jobs, young people's education and Conwy's schools.
