Rejected petition Reduce the number of new houses being built in counties where the population is not increasing.

In rural counties across Wales, the number of new houses that have been designated in the county's targets (Welsh Government local authority level Household Projections) is too high. The councils are under pressure to build more new houses, which causes more and more of our agricultural land to disappear in order to build houses.

More details

It is necessary to think of alternative ways such as tackling empty houses, looking at existing buildings on brownfield sites and reducing the number of summer houses, instead of building large estates on green fields.
