Rejected petition Help fund & coordinate the setting up of a memorial in Wales dedicated to "All victims of genocides"

Wales does not have a national memorial to the Holocaust or to the victims of all genocides.
We call on the Welsh Government to set up a cross party task and finish group with the aim of erecting a Welsh memorial dedicated to all the victims of genocide throughout the world.
The Welsh people need a place where they can gather to remember the millions of people who were persecuted and killed during the Holcaust and subsequent genocides throughout the world.
Silence is complicity - never again!

More details

We must remind future generations that it was ordinary people who found themselves persecuted and murdered because of their religion or the community they belonged to.
It was ordinary people who did nothing and accepted hateful propaganda.
It was ordinary people who became soldiers or policemen who rounded up the victims. Ordinary people were neighbours wielding machetes in Rwanda. Ordinary people who became concentration guards in Bosnia. Ordinary people who flew the death drones in Gaza!
We, as individuals have a choice to stand up to hate and prejudice. We can all challenge divisive narratives that aim to fragment our communities and demonise certain groups of individuals.
Genocide can happen in any place and at any time. We must always be vigilant and be prepared to stand up for humanity.
The world is in such a mess, not because of the evil people but because of all the good people who watch the evil but do nothing to oppose it!
